ocean eyes

here is a recent look i did~ i'm sorry, i've been really lazy in posting and tell me what you think! it's a very shimmery, frosty combination of blues -- it can really make the eye pop. for this look i used a generic palette from ebay, which i will get around to showing you later. <3

and a smokey, black n' gold as a tribute to my alma mater. leave me some feedback guys! <33 let me know if there's any looks you'd like me to do!

The NEW black (Cinderfella review)

Black tied & Carbon VS. Cinderfella:

(err; around twenty dollars?)

I'm sure we've all gone to the mac store and purchased carbon or black tied with the small sparkles catching our eye, in hopes that the sparkle is true to its word. Although, it is disappointing, that these sparkles do not "stick"; look NO further. I give you: cinderfella from the black collection. A nice mineralize eyeshadow, slightly bigger than your average $14.50 USD pans. And who can say no to minerals? The shimmer will show, and with a base underneath, this a HG for all you glitter queens. Trust me, a little will go a LONG way.

(left w/ base; right without)

MY EOTD (featuring cinderfella):

(emotionless; i know. but the elation is there :p)

my ramblings about my current situation

I guess, I've never really explained much about myself. But I guess you could say I'm going through some tough times, it's just one of those days where you just feel like dropping everything and staying in bed (but you can't, lol we've all heard that one before).

It mainly has to do with a relationship of mine, after being together for four years, through the years of immaturity, and growing up, I'm just stuck. I admit that I'm not perfect, and nobody is, but it's just, it seems like I'm not doing enough. And I guess, I'm stubborn too, pushing for change and pushing for compromise, but who wouldn't in any given situation?

I can honestly say I care so much for this person, but it's just hard, the way he always seems to push my buttons so easily, it frustrates me, and I don't really know how to handle with it, other than vying for space. It's crazy how you can care so much for someone, but the puzzle pieces are changing shape.

Gyaru inspired look

Gyaru, is a term in Japan, meaning "gal" which defines a whole subculture of styles in Japan. They are definitely "well-known" for their style, and individuality. The main objective of most gyaru eye make-up, is to open up the eye, also referred to as a doll-eye look. White or a shimmery shadow or liner is used on the inner corner of the eye to create that effect. Skin is usually powdered to a flawless finish with pink lips, and pink on the apples of the cheeks. Eyelashes are usually framing the eyes, very accentuated and thick, on both the bottom and top. Fake lashes are usually used.

I chose to stick with very neutral colors, so it wouldn't distract too much~

Glam it up ;)

As you all know, it's prom season, and everybody is scrambling to get their dresses, super cute accessories, and shoes shoes shoes. For me it's no different, I've already bought my dream dress, and it being a saturday, I thought I'd hit the mall. Since my dress of choice is champagne, what better to compliment it than gold and pearls? Aldo, was my store of choice, and I must admit, they have the cutest stuff, and for an affordable price. Don't hesitate, go to Aldos and do yourself right ;) So on with the goodies:

so what do you think? :)

M.A.C Studio Sculpt Review

In all honesty, even with my M.A.C fetish, I have never ever tried their foundations -- my boyfriend complains I don't need it. Me being on spring break, and having all the time in world, I decided to pay M.A.C a visit. I have really oily skin, where things tend to slide off in the middle of the day, and the previous products I've tried, -- drugstore brands -- do no justice for me. I have hyperpigmentation in the forehead, and very acne prone in the t-zone. At first, when the worker recommended studio sculpt, I was very skeptical. She offered me two samples NC40 and NC42, and I decided, to hell with it, I was gonna buy it anyway, since I would be too lazy to come back another day. && luckily for me, I got the last NC42. It's almost been a week since I last bought the studio sculpt, and as my first M.A.C foundation choice, I honestly love it. It goes on really well, (stipling please!) the finish is really dewy and natural, and it even covers my super dark forehead. It makes my skin look really flawless, and smooth, and to keep it on longer, just apply some translucent powder to finish it off. When I touch my face, it doesn't even feel like I have make-up on. It didn't even make me break out more than I normally do! Although, I do need some prep+prime to cover up my pores, which I will look into later (:

I don't know about you, but that looks perfect to me!

Two looks using the HK MAC collection.

The first is a subtle smokey, which is found in my youtube video. My camera does no justice at all for both of these pictures. In both looks i used the glitter liners present in the collection, and various colors from both the too dolly and lucky tom palette. I will post up my youtube link on the kitty kouture review later :)

& there was the reflects, and the glitter eyeliner, which i'm too lazy to mention.

After finally waiting for months, pre-christmas time, I've finally gotten my hands on the best collab in existence. (well in my opinion). Some of the colors were disappointing, like the orange, for example, because we all know that kitty-chan is the epitome of pink, and all things girly. Maybe it's just me.

I have to try some looks for valentines day :P I wish there was a nice red lipstick in this collab though. Kitty Kouture comes out on March 5th! :)
